Mindful Eating

   Try to eat more mindfully:

 

  1. Look at and smell the food before eating.

  2. Put the food into your mouth - don’t chew yet.

  3. Sense the food with your tongue - pay full attention to the taste and touch sensation.

  4. Chew the food slowly, making it into paste-like or even juice-like before swallowing.

  5. Take a deep breath and observe if the taste lingers.

 

 

Benefits of mindful eating include greater taste satisfaction,

less tendency to overeat, and weight reduction.
